The objective of the project was to create a free campus map web service for disabled students at the universities in Seoul. It was commissioned by the SK Sunny Volunteers Group in cooperation with Angelswing Inc.
I participated as the freelance designer working for Angelswing Inc. My role was to design and prototype the entire web and mobile UX/UI in collaboration with a front-end developer.

3 KEY DESIGN POINTS
1/ to keep UI simple and intuitive using pictograms. As the main users were the disabled students of diverse nationalities across the campuses, user motion and element interaction had to be clear and easy to use.
2/ to elevate web response speed by using lower image resolution and minimizing the page layers. The user may be in a situation to require prompt information as the categories were Entrance, Toilet, Lift, Parking lot. The aerial-photographed maps Angelswing Inc. provided were downsized and the maps were united to eliminate backspace interaction.
3/ to involve collective data by the users. SK SUNNY Community Volunteers aimed to provide Barrier-Free Campus Map(http://barrierfreecampus.com/) to the 10 major universities in Seoul by March 2018, then expand the service to the majority of educational institutions. However, due to the limited number of volunteers and faculties, it was almost impossible to catch up with every detail of the changing environments. For a sustainable map update, the web service included comment-boxes, enquiry section and direct user posting.
